Twisted Fiber Art was born from two loves: Math and Color and two needs: being there for my family and helping to support us. My Mom wanted to knit for me but I wanted more from yarn than it was prepared to give. So I set my anal… uh… precise self to making the yarn do what I wanted it to do. And really, how much yarn does one family need? Well a lot (an awful lot if you are like us)! I’d love to hear from you and be part of dialog about ideas, new products, patterns, balancing yarn, love, and housework, coffee, the perfect length for color repeats…

  1. I’ve twice knitted Hitchhiker using large balls of your merino/silk mix and people stop me in the street to ask about them. They are simply gorgeous and the pattern is wonderfully portable. Only problem was that I washed one of them in the machine at 30 degrees and it has felted ever so slightly. Next time hand wash in cold! Beautiful feel and drape and luminous colours. Worth every penny and every stitch.
